In the event of death of a Participant more than 100 miles from his or her legal residence* at time of death, APASI will render every assistance and pay for the following services, including location of a licensed sending funeral home, or mortuary, transporting the body from site of death to licensed sending funeral home, or mortuary, preparation of remains for burial, transport of remains to the current legal residence of the participant, location by air or other appropriate transportation, minimally necessary casket or air tray for transport, consular services for (death over seas), and procurement of death certificates.
