Yvonne M. (Carr) McCorkle

Yvonne M. McCorkle, 96, of Canonsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 in McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray.

She was born on January 3, 1919 in London, England, the daughter of the late Steven J. and Ethel R. Hughes Carr.

On August 25, 1945 she married Jesse B. McCorkle, Jr. at the U.S. Army Chapel in New Delhi.  He passed away in 1988.

Surviving are her beloved daughter, Jennifer A. (Wayne) Plovic of Canonsburg; a son, Mark A. McCorkle of Florida; two cherished grandchildren, Robert A. Plovic of Canonsburg and Kelsey L. (Mark) Morgan of Canonsburg; and two beloved grand dogs, Annie and Duke.

Family and friends are welcome from 12 Noon – 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a funeral service will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, immediately following the visitation with Rev. Dr. Debra Rogosky officiating.  Interment will be held privately at a later date.
