Wilma M. Martincic, 92 of Canonsburg passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on February 1, 1925 in Midway a daughter of Frank and Pauline Nagode Kosem who preceded her in death.
On February 8, 1947 she married Jacob J. Martincic who passed away on December 19, 2006.
She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She loved to travel and kept close ties with her family abroad. She was very active in Slovenian cultural and fraternal activities.
In 2015 she celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Nagode family Christmas Eve reunion.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted daughters Joyce A. Hezir (Joseph) of Vienna, VA and Patricia C. Dalton of Canonsburg and two beloved granddaughters Alexandra Hezir & Damjan Hezir and two great granddaughters Lily and Eve Hezir.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, Edwin, and John Kosem and a sister Julia Kosem who died in infancy.
Friends are welcome from 4~7 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
