William Arthur Walsh

William Arthur Walsh age 76 of Washington passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 18, 2023, in his home. William was born September 16, 1947, in Everett, MA, a son of the late Joseph and Catherine Edna (Smith) Walsh. He spent his childhood in North Reading, MA and graduated from North Reading High School. Upon graduation he proudly served in the United States Navy where he was given the distinction of being selected as the Honor Man of his training class. Mr. Walsh was an electrical contractor and builder owning both Walsh Electric and W.A. Walsh Construction. He had lived in the Washington and Canonsburg areas for the past 48 years and was a member of the American Legion. He most enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons. Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Jason Walsh of Canonsburg, Jeremy Walsh of Washington, and Natasha (Nick) Putaro of Houston, his cherished grandsons, Anthony and Enzo Putaro, the mother of his children Rebecca Zaricki Walsh, a sister Joanne Walsh of Bradford, MA and brothers, John (Brenda) Walsh of Salem, NH and David (Susan) Walsh of Amesbury, MA, as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents are his sisters Eileen Walsh and Catherine “Terry” Parsons and brothers Joseph “Ned” Walsh Jr., James Walsh, and Thomas Walsh.

Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday November 26, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724)745-8120, where services will be held at 1 pm Monday November 27, 2023. Interment with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the United States Navy Honor Guards will follow at 2 pm in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
