William J. Zirwas, age 46 of Lawrence died unexpectedly, Sunday March 22, 2009 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
He was born June 28, 1962 in Canonsburg Hospital a son of the late Jacob Zirwas who died January 15, 1983 and Marie Alexander Zirwas Phillips of McDonald. Mr. Zirwas was Catholic and a 1982 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.
He was self-employed as co-owner of Spectrum Finishing, Inc., an avid Steeler fan and member of the VFW Bioni-Yeckel post 8308 of Lawrence.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters; Jaclyn Paige and Tiffany M. Zirwas both at home; his beloved companion of five years, Betty Siders and her two son's Garrett and Tanner Mooney; two sisters, Cynthia (Samuel) Colega of McDonald and Catherine (Michael) Allen of Port Royal, PA., and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, and (724-745-8120). Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. Alphonsus Church, McDonlad, with Father John Harvey as celebrant. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery
