William J. "Bill" Popeck

William J. “Bill” Popeck, 80, of Eighty Four, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in his home with his loving wife by his side.

He was born on June 7, 1935 in Houston, a son of the late John and Helen Losko Popeck.

He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.  For many years he, along with his brother, owned and operated Popeck Brothers, who specialized in plastering and custom building.  Bill enjoyed working on his koi pond.  He also enjoyed bowling and all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Steelers.  Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

On September 11, 1965 he married his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Byrnes Popeck, who survives.

Also surviving are a brother, James (Mary) Popeck of Canonsburg; a sister, Dorothy (James) Briihl of Canonsburg; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Friends are welcome from 12-4 PM on Friday, November 6, 2015, with a Catholic Blessing Service beginning at 2:00 PM, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
