William L. Iskey

William L. Iskey age 62 of Washington died at 11:11pm Thursday May 19, 2011 in his home surrounded by his family and friends after a year long illness.
He was born October 5, 1948 a son of the late John and Margaret Hanna Kasky Iskey.
Mr. Iskey lived in Washington since 1978 and was Catholic by faith.
He had been employed as a cabinet maker at General Woodcrafting in Canonsburg and WalMart customer service and had served as a police officer in Houston Boro for 9 years.
He was a Life Member of the Canonsburg Sportsmen's Asscociation, was an avid bowler as a member of the Muse Independent League. In his youth Mr. Iskey had received a full football scholarship to Western Kentucky University due to his playing ability.
On October 4, 2001 he married Charlene Stoneking who survives. Also surviving is his son, Jason (Eri) Iskey of Maryland, a step daughter, Staci (Karl) Kuhlenschmidt of Spring Texas, two grandchildren, Katrina and Mia Iskey , two step grandchildren Austin and Jakob Kuhlenschmidt, a sister Margaret (Lloyd) Ranegar of Washington, a brother James R. (Peggy) Iskey of Cecil and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three sisters, Mary Ann Kosey, Lydia Wescowitz and Emily Torboli and five brothers, Robert Kasky, John, Steve, Daniel and Kenneth Iskey.
At Mr. Iskey's request there will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at a date to be announced. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P, Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg. 724-745-8120.
