William D. Chambers, 65, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Donnell House, Washington.
He was born on March 22, 1950 in Avella, a son of the late Solomon and Margaret Weekly Chambers.
Bill was a 1969 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. After 41 devoted years, he recently retired in September 2015 from Universal Stainless and Alloy Products in Bridgeville, where he was a re-melt supervisor. Bill enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
On July 30, 1969 in Cumberland, Maryland, he married his beloved wife, Joyce L. Duvall Chambers, who survives.
Also surviving is his loving son, Scott W. (Nicole) Chambers of Washington; three precious grandchildren, Chase, Giamarie, and Capri Chambers, all of Washington; three sisters, Betty Rush of Washington, Darlene (Rick) Jones of Canonsburg, and Rebecca (Dave) Koenig of Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers, Kenneth Chambers of Monroeville, Solomon (Dorothy) Chambers, Jr. of Weirton, West Virginia, and Charles (Carol) Chambers of Bayonne, New Jersey; two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Karen) Duvall of Canonsburg and David (Dee Dee) Duvall of Meadow Lands; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Mount, Evelyn Spencer, and Adelaide Toth; and a brother, Donald Chambers.
A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
