William George Brown age 59 of Spraggs, Green County passed away unexpectedly Saturday November 4, 2017 in UPMC-Presbyterian Hospital Pittsburgh. He was born March 22, 1958 in Buffalo New York a son of Jacqueline Maciag Wilfson of Waynesburg and George C. Brown of Bellaire Maryland. Mr. Brown was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg and the Knights of Columbus Counsel 12703 of Waynesburg. He was self-employed as Artisan Paper and Painting and was a gifted and well-known professional at his craft. He had served with the United States Army and lived in the Spraggs area since 1991. Left behind to cherish his memory in addition to his parents are his beloved children Martin Tucker Brown of Philadelphia and Emily Melissa Brown of Bellefonte, four sisters; Kathy (the late George) Monath of Whiteford MD, Nance (Kim) Zech of Blythewood South Carolina, Mary (William) Phillips of Waynesburg and Beth Rawlings of Bellaire MD., his loving friend Nicole Accordino and several nieces and a nephew.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday November 7, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 11:30am on Wednesday November 8, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at noon in St Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery with full military rights by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 of Canonsburg and the United States Army Honor Guard.
