Wesley Allen "Wes" Markle

Wesley Allen “Wes” Markle age 60 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly Friday January 31, 2025, in his home with his devoted wife by his side. He was born on March 4, 1964, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Walter and Shirley Sochor Markle. Wes was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and then proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, being honorable discharged as a Lieutenant Colonel. He had been employed for 22 years as a correctional officer with SCI Greene, and was Baptist by faith. Wes was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed country, rock and pop music. He liked being with his four Boxers, Ringo, Reese, Rocco and Rosie but most loved being with his family and friends. On May 23, 1995, he married the love of his life Diane “DeDe” Aston who survives after 29 years. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter Brittany Brown of Muse and her children, Douglas and Maleah Brown, his stepdaughter Heather M (Robbie) Kennedy of Bridgeville, brothers William and Wayne Markle, sisters Shirely Harris and Charmaine Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased his brother Walter Markle. 

Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6- 8 pm Tuesday February 4, 2025, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, where services will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday February 5, 2025. Interment with full military honors by the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg, and the United States Marine Corps will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
