Virginia Ann Eonta Dick age 83 of Canonsburg, formerly of Michigan, died Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 10:10 PM in Town View.
She was born July 22, 1927 in Canonsburg the daughter of the late Alexander and Frances Lucciola Eonta.
Mrs. Dick attended Canonsburg School District.
She recently became a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. She was a devoted catholic, who loved God and her faith.
Mrs. Dick had recently returned to live in Canonsburg after living in Michigan for 40 years, where she worked for 23 years at Ford Motor Company and retired.
Spending time with her family and being outdoors watching nature brought her great joy. She enjoyed watching the Steelers and Penguins, eating out, and returning to Canonsburg every year for their 4th of July parade.
Surviving are three sisters, Joanne (John) Hoffman, Mary Uchal both of Canonsburg; Cil Scheldt of Towson, MD.; brother, Joseph Eonta of Princeton, N.C.; a niece, goddaughter and care giver, Cindy (James) Capra of Washington, also many nephews and nieces and many great- nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents are three sisters, Caroline Dormo, Rose Swan, Emily Renk, three brothers Philip, Nicholas and Charles Eonta, also her long time companion, Robert Dick.
Friends are welcome on Friday September 10, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724-745-8120), where Blessing Service will be held Saturday September 11, 2010 at 9:00 am, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30am in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg. Christian Mothers will recite rosary in funeral home on Friday at 3:00pm.
