Vincent M. Simko, 87, of Canonsburg passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Canonsburg on August 5, 1927, a son of the late Vincent and Mary Pazzin Simko.

Vince served his country with the United States Army. After many dedicated years with the Canonsburg Post Office, he retired from the United States Postal Service. After retirement he worked at The Book Shop in Canonsburg.

He was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish in Canonsburg, the Catholic Men's Club, and was a 4th Degree member of the Canonsburg Council #3291 Knights of Columbus.

On April 30, 1949 he married Helen R. Dorosh, who survives.

Also surviving are three sisters, Dolores (Edgar) Cheverine of Canonsburg, Agnes Murphy of Islip, NY, and Catherine Funke of Roseville, MI; a brother, Andrew (Mary) Simko of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his three sisters, Elizabeth Churray, Cecilia Lipinski, and Mary Gonglik.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. Everyone please meet at the church.
