Vida Margaret Adams Potter 94, of Oakland, Maryland, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2024. Born on April 18, 1930, she was the loving wife of the late Andrew N. Potter for 44 years. Without question, she was an amazing and loving mother to her 4 children. Wency R. Kotar (James Booth) of Oakland, MD, Andrea M. Loether (David) of Oak Island, NC, Scott T. Potter (Robin) of Yardley, Pa, Vida L. Dellorso (John) of Eighty-Four, Pa. She was preceded in death by three granddaughters – Lindsay N. Loether, Celine B. Loether and Emily M. Loether-Hutchins and one great grandson Sean J. Phillips. Vida had a very full life and embraced all things musicial. A talented singer, director and organizer, she was instrumental in the formation of The Southern Belles of North Carolina, as well as an extremely successful European Tour and the barbershop quartet group Four On The Isle. She Served the Naval Relief Society as a volunteer, logging over 10,000 hours providing layettes and blankets to military families. But most of all, we loved her heart- Always full of genuine compassion, empathy and friendship for all. Vida’s true gift of spirit has graced this world and will be greatly missed by every person she impacted.
