Veronica "Vonnie" D'Arville

Veronica D'Arville, 64, died July12, 2012 in her home in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.

Vonnie was born February 2, 1948 in Washington, Pennsylvania to Peter Ambrose and Helen Gronski Ambrose.

Vonnie is survived by her daughter, Renee D'Arville Speaker and her husband Michael Speaker of Benwood, West Virginia; sisters, Geraldine Ambrose Hodor and Karen Ambrose Kesneck; brother, Jeffrey Ambrose; Godchildren Kellie Hodor Hagerman and Ryan Kesneck; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her always.

A Canon McMillan graduate, Vonnie went through nursing school at Washington Hospital and became a Registered Nurse dedicating her life as a care giver. She worked at St. Clair Hospital for 13 years. Most recently, Vonnie was an RN Supervisor at McMurray Hills Manor where she worked for 24 years. She made her patients smile and was described as energetic and wonderful to work with.

Vonnie started family traditions that will forever continue in her memory. She is remembered as thoughtful, generous, observant, full of knowledge, fun loving, and family oriented.

At the request of Mrs. D'Arville, there will be no public visitation. A Blessing Service will be held Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P. Salandra owner/ supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120; with Farther George DeVille pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Muse; as celebrant. Interment will be private.
