Tressa C. (Sova) Martincic

Tressa C. Martincic, 86 of Canonsburg passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Donnell House in Washington surrounded by her loving family and friends after suffering with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Tressa was born on August 22, 1930 in Washington to Michael and Mary Sova Bosak who preceded her in death.

On July 16, 1960 she married Rudy Martincic who passed away on August 26, 2014.

Mrs. Martincic was a Dietary Aide who worked for the Greenery in Canonsburg for 20 years. She was also previously employed by Bens PX in Canonsburg.

She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church Parish where she loved attended mass with her family.  She was a sweet and affectionate lady whom her family and friends adored. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially going out for ice cream.

The Martincic family is grateful for the love and care their mother received from Visiting Angels and Quality Family Care.

She is survived by her devoted son Andrew M. (Jenifer Blasinsky), Martincic of Canonsburg, three sisters Helen Bosak of Washington, Ann George of Washington, and Margaret (Calvin) Cokely of Washington and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers John Bosak and Steve Bosak.

Friends are welcome from 2-8p.m. on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will begin on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 9:30a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
