Thomas Garry “PSUTOM” Keller, age 74, of Washington, passed away peacefully early Thursday morning with his devoted wife by his side. He was born February 11, 1951, in Monessen, the son of the late Jess William and Leona Joan Mendola Kunka. Mr. Keller was raised in Monessen and was a graduate of Monessen High School, Class of 1969. He received his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University—University Park Campus in 1973. His deep love for his alma mater earned him the nickname PSUTOM, which was even on his license plate. Prior to moving to Washington in 2012, Tom lived in Uniontown and was an active member of the First Christian Church of New Salem, serving as deacon and singing in the choir. He had a green thumb, was an avid gardener, and loved planning and doing landscaping around the church. Before his retirement, Tom worked as a Federal Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. He was an active member of The Bible Chapel in Peters Township, where he was a member of the Locker Room Men’s Group and volunteered for many projects. He dearly loved the church, which brought him much peace, satisfaction, and friendship. Tom was also a dedicated volunteer with Meals on Wheels, coached girls’ softball, and had been an avid golfer. He shared a special bond with the family’s Golden Retriever, Bella. Tom would have liked to be remembered as a good, compassionate man. On December 28, 2012, he married his beloved wife, Maria Moze, who survives. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Jordan Thomas “Champ” Keller and his wife Dana of Bethel Park; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Noah Griffin (to whom he was known as Tata); his stepdaughter, Lauren Dombrowski (Christopher McComb) of Cranberry Township; his sisters, Bonnie Kunka (Dewain Annonio) of Monessen and Tracy Price and her husband Matt of Cramerton, NC; and his nephew, Dylan Price. Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg (724) 745-8120.
