Theresa C. "Terri" Ritter of Canonsburg died Monday May 30, 2011 in Shadyside Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Rapczak Spryshak. Mrs. Ritter lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a member of the former St. Genevieve Roman Catholic Church.
She had been employed at the former Continental Can Company in Canonsburg and West Mifflin and was last employed at Kroger in Washington. Mrs. Ritter was an avid Bingo player and a member of TOPS at the Canonsburg Senior Citizens Center.
On September 4, 1970 she married Ralph "Bud" Ritter who died June 23, 1995. Surviving are two daughters, Jenice (Gerard) Vesely of Eighty-Four and Robbi (Greg) Maycock of Orient Ohio, three grandchildren, Matthew Mahramus, Alyse and Christian Vesely, two great grandchildren, Alexi and Tyler Mahramus and several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are her first husband, John Markovich, three brothers Sylvester, Edward and Harry Spryshak and four sisters Stella Haynes, Lee Bostonia, Olga Polewski and Helen Spryshak.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday June 2, 2011 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Friday June 3, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday in St Patrick Church followed by interment in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
