Theodore “Ted” Wittik, 75 of Canonsburg passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017 in Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born on October 16, 1941 in Pittsburgh to Michael and Dorothy Krevosh Wittik who preceded him in death.
On August 27, 1966 he married Sharyn Schelm celebrating 50 years of blissful marriage last year.
He was a United States veteran having served in the Army National Guard. He worked for Cooper Industries for 31 years then worked at Coleman Mitchell Heating and Air Conditioning until his retirement.
Mr. Wittik was passionate about trout fishing. He enjoyed watching movies in his free time and enjoyed attending NASCAR races. He loved his grandchildren dearly and spent as much time with them as he could.
In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by two sons Kevin M. Wittik (Jenette) and Brian H. Wittik (Krista) both of Canonsburg, two daughters Natalie M. Concilio (Anthony) of Canonsburg and Janene S. Bockrath (Jim) of Jamestown, New York, one sister, Barbara Honeychuck (Robert) of Pittsburgh and three grandchildren Lincoln Bockrath, Grayson Bockrath and Austin Wittik.
He also leaves behind his cat Lily.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. the time of service on Monday, April 10, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment will be private.
