Susan E. Wray, 74 of Amity passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Concordia Hospice of Washington Donnell House after a lengthy illness.
She was born on January 26, 1943 in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin to Benjamin and Virginia Stagg Eldridge who preceded her in death.
On July 29, 1967 she married David Wray who survives.
Mrs. Wray was Presbyterian by faith. She loved to dance, teach dancing and at one time made her whole family dance together. She was a passionate animal lover and was a member of the Keystone Canine Club where she competed in agility classes.
She was quite the character, a strong-willed woman who had a wild streak. She loved to tease and enjoyed being teased back.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her son David S. Wray (Roxanne) of Scenery Hill and one daughter Elizabeth R. Shuttleworth (Gary) of Eighty- Four, one brother Frederick Eldridge (Barrie) Winston-Salem, North Carolina, one beloved grandson Ashton Wray, a grandchild due in December, two nieces and two nephews.
At the request of the family, all services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
