Steve Drochak age 91 of Canonsburg died unexpectedly Tuesday November 1, 2011 in his home. He was born May 12, 1920 in Canonsburg a son of the late Daniel and Mary Hoditch Drochak.
Mr. Drochak lived his entire life in Canonsburg where he was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church. He had been employed for many years prior to his retirement at the former Pennsylvania Transformer Co. and McGraw Edison Power Systems.
He was a member of the VFW post 191 of Canonsburg, the American Legion post 902 of Houston and the Russian Brotherhood Organization.
On July 25, 1953 he married Parmina Comfort who survives. Also surviving are two sons Michael Stephan (Cherie) Drochak of Phoenix Arizona and Steven Daniel Drochak of Florida, a daughter Barbara Ann McGough of Florida, two grandsons, Scott and James Drochak , four great grandchildren, a sister Dorothy Knepshield of Akron Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister Anna Drochak who died in infancy and three brothers, John, Nicholas D. and Michael Drochak, who died in infancy.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Private family visitation and services will be held Friday November 4, 2011 with the Very Reverend Joseph Oleynik officiating.
