Sophie Kady age 101 of Canonsburg died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Consulate Health Center North Strabane Twp.
She was born October 18, 1907 in Blydale, Westmoreland County a daughter of Antony and Viola Zapert Kadyszewska. Miss Kady lived most of her life in Canonsburg, where she was a lifelong member of St Genevieve Roman Catholic Church and it's Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Canonsburg 1211.
She had been employed for 5 years at the Eves restaurant in Canonsburg and for 45 years at the Continental Can Co. where she was last employed as a supervisor.
Miss Kady was the last of her immediate family, in addition to her parents also is a deceased sister Violet Kady.
Friends are welcome from 9:30 AM-11:30 AM, the time of service, on Friday January 9, 2009 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery
