Shirley Ann (Layton) Borrelli 80 formerly of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Tuesday November 15, 2016 in Manor Care in Peters Twp. where she has resided for the past 6 years. She was born April 4, 1936 in Gettysburg a daughter of the late Earl Layton and Pearl Hervol. Mrs. Borrelli had been a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. She had been a manager at the restaurants in both the Thrift Drug and Eckerd Drug at South Hill Village and prior to that was employed as a waitress at the former Mt. Lebanon and Rolling Hill Country Clubs. She loved her family, bingo, casinos and cooking.

On November 8, 1952 she married Sam “Muzzle” Borrelli who passed away on October 13, 1993. Surviving are her four beloved children; Samuel (Janet) Borrelli of Florida, L. Bruce (Kathy) Borrelli of Eighty Four, Mary (Dale) Dalesio of North Strabane Twp. And Donna (Chris) Hillman of Pittsburgh, nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two sisters; Patricia (Dominic) Dorazio of Houston, Sarah (Andy) Dino of Canonsburg and a brother James (Kathy) Hervol of Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is her son, Carmen Borrelli and her sister Sandra (Lou) Gazvoda.

Friends are welcome from 2~8pm Thursday November 17, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a Catholic Blessing service will be held at 10am Friday November 18, 2016. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
