Sarah Mae (Sally) Fartro age 84 of Houston died unexpectedly Saturday June 19, 2010 in her home. She was born May 12, 1926 in South Fayette Twp. a daughter of John R. and Mabel Aiken Boyce.
Mrs. Fartro had lived in Houston for the past 40 years where she was a member of the Chartiers-Houston Senior Citizens. She was Methodist by faith and was an active card club member. She had been employed at Mayview State hospital as a secretary and for many years was a babysitter for children in the area.
On February 12, 1953 she married Thomas P. Fartro who survives. Also surviving are her son, Reverend Jeffrey (Lynn) Fartro of Cleveland-Parma, Ohio, three grandchildren Leeland, James and SaraBeth Fartro and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fartro was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are three sisters Mary Knez, Florence Jones and Ida Saxman and a brother John Boyce.
