Sandra Rose "Sandy" Campbell

Sandra Rose “Sandy” Campbell age 76 of Canonsburg, formerly of Venetia passed away Sunday September 17, 2023, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon Twp. She was born January 4, 1947, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Stanley J. and Rose Villella March. She had lived most of her life in the Peters Twp. area and attended Peters Twp. schools. Sandy attended Western Area Vo-Technical School and received a degree certified as a nurse’s assistant, becoming a caregiver with Visiting Angels in Canonsburg for over 20years. At the time of her death Sandy was employed with Goodwill Industries in Peters Twp.  She had been a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, the VFW Post 764 Ladies Auxiliary of McMurray and enjoyed bingo, gardening and crafts. Sandy was an avid baker and participant in the Washington County Agricultural Fair, winning numerous ribbons for her baked goods over the years. Very civic minded, she volunteered with the Finleyville Food Pantry for over 20 years. She enjoyed hosting monthly dinners with her friends and most especially she loved spending time with her pride and joys, her grandchildren. Mrs. Campbell is predeceased by her husband Ernest Campbell who passed away April 5, 2001, and a stepsister Elizabeth Stamback. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Rose (Steven) Holzer of Baldwin and Ernest J. “Jim” Campbell of Washington, her beloved grandchildren, Symantha (Josh) and Shane Cloherty and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 pm until 7 pm Friday the time of Services, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724-745-8120). Private interment will take place in Finleyville Cemetery on Saturday, September 23, 2023.
