Sandra Lynn Greer age 51 of Canonsburg passed away on Sunday October 23, 2001 in Cleveland Clinic with her family by her side.
She was born in Canonsburg August 2, 1960, a daughter of John E. and Velma Hoffman Pleskovich of Canonsburg. Mrs. Greer lived her entire life in Canonsburg and was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School in the class of 1978, the Washington Hospital School of Nursing and received a BSN from California University in 2000. She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Muse. Mrs. Greer was a member of the Nurses Honor Society. She was last employed as a Documentation Specialist at Canonsburg General Hospital where she had been employed for 26 years as a registered nurse.
On August 1, 1981 she married David W. Greer who survives. Surviving In addition to her husband and parents are a daughter Jennifer (J.R.) Gordon of Rennerdale, a son Adam Greer of Canonsburg, a sister Jody (Daniel) Wingard of Canonsburg, two brothers Michael L. (Barbara) Pleskovich of McDonald and John (Diane) Pleskovich Jr. of Washington, her mother-in-law Freeda Pratten Greer of Canonsburg her goddaughters Ashley Wingard and Amanda O'Hare Parry among her other nieces and nephews. Deceased are her sister Patricia O'Hare who died August 31, 1992, a nephew Michael Craig Pleskovich who died May 16, 2010 and her father in law Lawrence "Bus" Greer who died January 16, 2008.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Thursday October 27, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday in Holy Rosary R.C. church, Muse with Father George T. DeVille as celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Sandy's name to Holy Rosary Church, one Orchard St. Muse PA. 15350.
