Samuel H. "Mack" McPherson, III

Samuel H. “Mack” McPherson, III, 69, of Canonsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 10, 1946 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Samuel McPherson, Jr. and Marie Stanley McPherson.

Mack was an auto worker, retiring from General Motors in 2004, where he served as a union representative.

Sam loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

On October 11, 1975 he married his beloved wife, Judy Patnesky, who survives.

Also surviving are four loving children, Michael (Megan) McPherson of Canonsburg, Erin (Adrian) Pasricha of Toronto, Canada, Kerry (Patrick) Hogan of Canonsburg, and Mark (Vanessa) McPherson of McDonald; three precious grandchildren, Samuel Allen, Clara Rose, and Elijah Nathaniel; step-mother, Mary Trump McPherson of Florida; two step-sisters, Carol (Larry) Bennett and Joanne (Frank) Romano, both of Florida; and a niece and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bucky” McPherson.
