Samuel D. Fragapane age 77 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly, Monday September 2, 2013 in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born November 16, 1935 in Canonsburg a son of the late Vincent and Teresa Fragapane.
Mr. Fragapane lived his entire life in Canonsburg where he was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Prior to his retirement he had been employed in the shipping department at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Canonsburg Sportsmen's Association. Mr. Fragapane loved being with his family and enjoyed having coffee with his many friends, especially his lifelong buddy Ed Solomon. He was a carpenter and woodworker who made heirloom furniture for his family.
On September 22, 1973 he married his beloved wife, Rosalie Santoro who survives after nearly 40 years of marriage. Also surviving are his son, Clyde Vincent (Lauren) Fragapane of Canonsburg, his daughter Jennifer (Bill) Merriman of McDonald, eight grandchildren; Vincent, Clyde II, Christopher, Cassidy, Samantha, Jacob, Anderson and Brinton, a great granddaughter Reese, a brother Carmen (Carol) Fragapane, a sister Virginia Levers and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is a sister Mary Sendro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
