Ruth Jean Fisher Farina age 93 of Greensburg went to be with Jesus on Tuesday September 11, 2012 at 6:20 PM. She was born May 23, 1919 a daughter of the late John J. and Clara (Robinson) Conner.
Mrs. Farina is survived by her children; Barbara (Joe) Huba of North Huntingdon and John (Bonnie) Fisher of Beavercreek, Ohio and four grandchildren Aaron Huba of Honolulu, HI , Brent Huba of North Huntingdon, Jason and Ashley Fisher of Beavercreek, Ohio.
Deceased are her husband Joe Farina, ex-husband Elwood Fisher and a granddaughter Jessica Lynn Huba.
Mrs. Farina had been employed as a bookkeeper for the Salvation Army in Monessen, before moving to Millvale, where she was a bookkeeper for a wire manufacturing company after her husband's passing. Upon her retirement in 1992 she moved to Hempfield Towers in Greensburg to be near her daughter and grandchildren, where she lived until her passing. Mrs. Farina accepted Jesus into her heart and she now has a place at His side in eternal Heaven.
At the request of Mrs. Farina there will be no public visitation. Private family viewing will be held in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 on Friday September 14, 2012 followed by services at 11am in Forest Lawn Gardens Chapel Mausoleum 3739 Washington Road, McMurray. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
