Ruth M. Ashton age 94 of Houston, died Monday, August 8, 2011 in Golden Living Center South Hills.
She was born on May 23, 1917 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late William and Coletta Kress Ashton.
Miss Ashton lived most of her life in Houston and was a member of St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg.
She was a retired nurse from Western Center and also during and after retirement she took care of her mother and sisters.
Surviving are three sisters, Gertrude Lutz, Ida Glass and Coletta Ashton all of Houston and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased also are one sister, Anmella M. Harms and three brothers, James, Jerry, and William E. "Buck" Ashton.
At the request of Miss Ashton there will be no public visitation. A Committal Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick's Cemetery Chapel. Please meet the family at Chapel by 9:50 AM. Interment will take place in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. Arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P.
