Rosella Pabian age 86 of Strabane died Tuesday October 5, 2010 in Allegheny General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born August 3, 1924 in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Emil H. and Mary Zednick Cregut.
Mrs. Pabian lived her entire life in Strabane and Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at the former Western Center and Mayview State Hospital as a LPN and nurses aide. During World War II she had been a ship welder. She was a member of the SNPJ lodge 138 in Strabane. Mrs. Pabian is survived by her son, Frank (Beverly) Pabian of Canonsburg, two granddaughters Carissa (Joshua) Boyer and Courtney Pabian, a great granddaughter, Chloe Boyer, two sisters; Mary Ann Russell of Florida and Julianna (Dolly) Parfenick of Mingo Junction, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her husband Frank Pabian, who died July 9, 1974, a brother Daniel Cregut and a sister Emily Garcia.
Friends are welcome from 2-8 pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Monday October 11, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated a 10 am in St. Patrick church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
