Rose Marie Kobrys

Rose Marie Kobrys age 89 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Thursday January 23, 2025, in Paramount Senior Living of McMurray with her family by her side. She was born April 16, 1935, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Gennaro and Rose Rimoli Cacchione. Mrs. Kobrys lived her life in Canonsburg, was a graduate of Canonsburg High School class of 1953 and was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church. Rose had been employed with RCA, and McGraw Edison and Cooper Industries where she was an executive assistant, retiring when the plant closed in 1994. She enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, soap operas and the Pittsburgh Steelers. On November 26, 1959, she married Joseph A. Kobrys, whom she was married to for 20 years, passed away October 2, 1980. Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted children Lisa Chauvet and her husband Michael of Cecil Twp., Joseph Kobrys and his wife Lois of South Park and Wally Kobrys of Washington, grandson Ryan Chauvet and his wife Katie, great grandsons Barrett and Silas Chauvet, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kobrys was the last of her immediate family. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents is her beloved granddaughter Nicole Chauvet who passed away November 1, 2009, sister Vera O ’Shinski and brothers, Perry, Vincent, Wolly and Mario Cacchione. 

Friends and family are welcome from 3pm until 7 pm Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:40 am Wednesday January 29, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
