Rose Blicha age 92 of Lawrence, Pa.; died Friday, May 6, 2011 at Hawthorne Woods, Washington, Pa.
She was born February 4, 1919 in Juniata, Pa. the daughter of the late John and Mary Petro Seman.
Mrs. Blicha was a devote member of Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church, former member of the Christian Mother's and lived most of her life in Lawrence.
On February 15, 1936 for nearly 57 years was married to Michael Blicha who died on November 23, 1993.
Surviving are daughter, Betty (Richard) Graham of Venetia; two sons, Michael S.(Gloria) Blicha of South Park; John G.(Diana) Blicha of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, John M. Blicha, Dana B. Beck, Michelle Groft, Michael J. Blicha; eight great-grandchildren, Addison, Jack, Cooper, Parker and Miles Blicha, Johnny, and Danny Beck and Samantha Groft, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Blicha was the last of her immediate family.
Deceased are two sisters, Mary Lazor and Anna Sutyak and three brothers, John, Michael and Stephen Seman.
Friends are welcome on Monday, May 9, 2011 from 2-8PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Liturgy Service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Ukranian Catholic Church, Carnegie. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. Parastas Service will be held Monday night at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Family suggest in lieu of flowers donations be made to Alzheimer's Association 100 West Station Square Drive The Landmarks Building, Suite 500 Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219 in memory of Mrs. Blicha.
