Rose Marie Barney age 80 of Eighty-Four, Died Thursday July 27, 2010 in Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh following a two month illness.
She was born October 16, 1929 in Strabane a daughter of the late Louis and Ann Progar Moze. Mrs. Barney was a homemaker and prior to her marriage had been employed as a LPN at Woodville State Hospital. She lived in Eighty-four since 1978 and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.
On July 9, 1966 she married Raymond D. Barney who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Earlene (George) Uram of Canonsburg, Sandi (Bill) Benard of Houston and Darlene (Jerry) Dean of Canonsburg, a son Albert (Cynthia) Paul of Canonsburg, one sister, Agnes (Patsy) Pirillo of Strabane a brother John Moze of Youngwood, nine grandchildren, Jodi Stumpf, Shelly Snyder, George Urum Jr., Stacie Wheeler, Bill Benard Jr., Tanya Jones, Kerrie Sitarik, Jerry Dean Jr. and Ashley Paul, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers Louis, Joseph and Frank Moze and six sisters, Josephine Benny, Pauline Stevens, Dolly Celio, Betty Moze, Ann Holcomb and Katherine Fall.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Friday July 29, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Patrick R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
