Rosalie J. O'Neil age 80 of Bridgeville formerly of Muse passed away
Sunday, June 2, 2013 in St. Claire Memorial Hospital, Mt. Lebanon.
She was born June 21, 1932 in Treveskyn, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth M. McGregor O'Neil. Miss O'Neil lived in Bridgeville and most of her life in Muse. She graduated from Cecil High School class of 1950 and from Slippery Rock College in 1954. She had been a guidance counselor for the Chartiers Valley School District for many years prior to her retirement. She had been an avid skier in her younger years and enjoyed traveling the world with her friends.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Muse and was the last of her immediate family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are two sisters; Margaret Gaynelle Smith and Collette O'Neil McAfee and six brothers; Raymond, Donald, Gerald, William, John and Leroy O'Neil.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 11:30am Wednesday June 5, 2013. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon in Holy Rosary Church, Muse with reverend George DeVille, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp.
