Ronnie L. Ranson

Ronnie L. Ranson age 66 of Cecil passed away peacefully Friday March 28, 2014 in Allegheny General Hospital, following a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 13, 1948 in Jacksonville, Illinois the only son of Mardelle Vieira Ranson of Jacksonville and the late Denby Ranson. Mr. Ranson served with the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 902 of Houston. He was Presbyterian by faith and resided in the area since 1978. He had attended Illinois College, Bowman Technical School for jewelry repair and Zantech for watch making. Mr. Ranson, along with his wife, ran Ranson Jewelers in Canonsburg since August of 1979. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed spending time with his family.
On July 17, 1971 he married Cynthia D. DelFine who survives. Also left to cherish his memory are his three children; Phaedra (Trent) Nunley of Niceville Florida, Corbin Ranson of Canonsburg and Casey (Sarah) Ranson of Tyler Texas, four grandchildren; Hailey, Delaney and Eva Nunley and Joseph Ranson, several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Sunday March 30, 2014 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 10am Monday, March 31, 2014. Full Military Rites will be accorded by the VFW Post 191 honor guard. Interment will be private.
