Robert T. "Bob" Schoedel, 66, went peacefully home on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home in Washington.
He was born in Pittsburgh on April 8, 1948, a son of the late Robert O. and Lois May Sturm Schoedel.
Bob had worked at numerous workshops and various organizations with ARC. He was outgoing and friendly and enjoyed making new friends. He was passionate about cars and baseball. He also enjoyed dancing, music, and trains. Bob will be sadly missed by his family, his friends that he made through ARC, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Surviving are his seven beloved siblings, Linda (Rich) Bear of Washington, Daniel (Trish) Schoedel of Annapolis, MD, Margaret (Robert) Parsons of Scott Twp., Kenneth (Chris) Schoedel of New Eagle, Bernard (Valerie) Schoedel of Finleyville, Rose Mary (Douglas "Blu") Funk of Big Fork, MT, and Peter (Rhonda) Schoedel of New Kensington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg 15317 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will begin at 9:30 on Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
