Robert "Bob" Lesniakowski, 75, of Canonsburg passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 in the Washington Hospital.
He was born in Canonsburg on February 18, 1940, a son of the late Richard "Benny" and Martha Kasanovich Lesniakowski.
Bob began his career with the former Hankison in 1964 and went on to retire from SPX as a Materials Manager in 2005.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Polish National Catholic Church in Canonsburg.
Bob enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races, woodworking, classic cars, and traveling to Florida. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.
Bob proudly served with the Unites States Air Force from 1957 until his honorable discharge in 1961.
On February 5, 1966 he married his loving wife, Agnes M. "Aggie" Gubasko Lesniakowski, who survives.
Also surviving is his beloved son, Bob (Nancy) Lesniakowski of Canonsburg; two brothers, Richard "Lupo" (Evelyn) Lesniakowski of Canonsburg and Norbert (Mary) Lesniakowski of Arkansas; his precious granddaughter, Carly E. Lesniakowski of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, also deceased are two sisters, Loretta (Harry) Manes and Mary Lesniakowski.
Friends are welcome from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a Blessing Service will begin at 12 Noon on Thursday, April 16, 2015. Interment, with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard, will follow at 1:00 PM in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
