Richard G. Somsky

Richard George Somsky (Rick) 63, of McDonald passed away peacefully on Friday, April 28, 2017 in St. Clair Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born on February 6, 1954 in Canonsburg to John and Lorraine Couderc Somsky who preceded him in death.

Rick graduated from Ft. Cherry High School and then from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. He worked as an Educational Software Manager for most of his professional career in Florida, California and Arizona before his retirement in 2016.

He returned home to McDonald where he was an active member of the Lions Club.

Rick is survived by one brother, John Somsky (Evonne) of Canonsburg.

At the request of the family all services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
