Richard “Dike” Palombi age 94 of Canonsburg went to his heavenly home with his family by his side on Thursday, November 18, 2021. He was born March 10, 1927 in Canonsburg, a son of the late Benidetto and Agnes Celento Palombi.
Mr. Palombi was a self-employed Concrete contractor for over 40 years and along with his wife Jan, they ran Richard Palombi Construction. He was first and foremost a family man. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed Sunday dinners and playing cards. Richard was a member of the Washington Country Club for years. He also liked hunting, fishing and antique collecting.
On November 24, 1954 at St. Patrick Church, Richard married Janet Leslie, who survives. Also Left behind to cherish his memory are his children Dawn (Dennis) Curry and Michael (Reyne) Palombi, grandchildren, Sara (Luke) Patnesky-Klemens, Jeremy Curry (Kiya Dixon), Jessica and Ben Palombi; one great grandson, Silas Carmello Curry; one sister whom he cherished, Clorinta “Linda” (Russ) Mains and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Deceased along with his parents are two brothers, Lou Palombi and Michael “Pickles” Palombi.
A Blessing Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Woodruff Memorial Park Chapel, 2095 Washington Road, Canonsburg. Everyone please meet at the cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724.745-8120.
