Richard L. Morrow, age 55 of Eighty-four, died unexpectedly Wednesday October 26, 2011 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born May 5, 1956 in Canonsburg a son of the late
Harry A. and Dorothy F. Ford Morrow. Mr. Morrow lived his entire life in the Eighty-four and Canonsburg areas. He was an active member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church where he had served as an elder, deacon, choir member and helped with the food pantry.
He was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School class of 1974 and Penn Tech. He had last been employed as a distribution warehouse manager at Vandyke Business System and had formerly been employed at Gordon Office equipment, Allegheny Business Products and Comdoc.
He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge 204 of Canonsburg and served as a Bentworth Band Booster. Mr. Morrow was an avid Steelers fan and enjoyed computer technology.
On September 15, 1984 he married Cynthia L. Nixon, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter Megan Lee Morrow of Eighty-four, two brothers Charles (Patricia) Morrow of Moore Park California and William (Karen) Morrow of Carpentersville Illinois, several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Thursday and from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner /supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Services will be held at 11am Saturday October 29, 2011 in the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Thomas Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery.
