Regina "Jean" Lombardo age 81 of Canonsburg passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born on March 2, 1931 in Duryea, Pa.; the daughter of the late Leo and Catherine Mularkey McGowan.
Mrs. Lombardo lived most of her life in Philadelphia where she retired from Tele Dynamics, until 1996, when see moved to Canonsburg. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Muse and was a member of Knits for Genisis, pro life organization in Washington, for whom she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Mrs. Lombardo especially enjoyed spending with her grandchildren.
On April 2, 1960 she married her beloved husband, Michael Lombardo, who passed away in 1993.
Surviving are son, Father Gerard Lombardo of New Jersey; two daughters, Michele (Joseph) Brado of Bethel Park and Maureen Lombardo of Phoenix, AZ.; and four grandchildren, Joseph, Adam and Erica Brado and Talia Lombardo.
Deceased also is her brother, John McGowan.
Friends are welcome on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Muse, at 10:00 AM with pastor, Father George DeVille officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 in Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, Pa.
