Raymond George Uram, age 77 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, December 17, 2023, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born May 20, 1946, in Canonsburg, the son of the late Harry and Viola Pratten Uram. He grew up in Canonsburg and was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish, St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg. He attended Canon-McMillan High School and entered and proudly served in the US Navy. Raymond was a life member of Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Association. He was a welder by trade member of Iron Workers Local #3 and taught welding at Dean Technical Institute. His hobbies were hunting and fishing, woodworking, and most of all, spending time with his great grandchildren. On June 22, 1968, he married Earlene, his best friend, who survives after 55 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his son, Raymond (Kate) Uram of Cecil, daughters Jodi (Joseph) Stumpf of Canonsburg, and Shelly (Edward, deceased) of Canonsburg. Siblings brother David J. (Judy) Uram Sr.(deceased), brother Harry H. Uram (deceased), and sister Judy (Bill) Setto. Beloved Grandchildren Zachary (Kelsey) Stumpf, Brittney Snyder (Fiancé Eric Mason), Cody (Alyssa) Stumpf, Sarah (Brandon) Meyer, Emily Snyder, Jarrett Uram, and Samantha Uram.
