Primo Goffi age 76 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 27, 2014. He was born on February 24, 1938 in Marche, Italy, the son of Irma Maramonti Goffi of Canonsburg and the late Umberto Goffi.
Mr. Goffi had lived in Canonsburg since 1956. He served honorably with the United States Army. After being discharge, he worked for many years for Tomsic Oldsmobile Cadillac as an automotive technician. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and also a long time member of the French Club. During and after his retirement he was known to all as a "master craftsman"
On September 18, 1960 he married his beloved wife of 53 years Elsa Gioia who survives. Also surviving are son, Primo Robert Goffi of Atlanta, Ga.; daughter, Christina (Joseph) Strupek of Bloomington, Ill.; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Samantha Strupek, two sisters Elvira (William) Graziani and Grace Goffi both of Canonsburg and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. Full Military Honors will be accorded by VFW Post 191 honor guard of Canonsburg.
