Paul M. Rosenberger, fondly referred to as "Pap" by all who knew him, age 76, of Canonsburg passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014 in McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Bellevue on March 31, 1938, a son of the late F. J. "Jack" and Clara Wright Rosenberger.
Paul proudly served his country with the United States Air Force from 1956-1960. After 20 devoted years, he retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County. He was the ultimate Steelers fan! Paul also enjoyed reading, sudoku, and crossword puzzles. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
On June 3, 1964 he married Barbara E. Faulkner, who survives.
Also surviving are his four children, Nancy (Philip) Keller of Cranberry Twp., Paul (Bernadette) Rosenberger, Jr. of Pittsburgh, John (Melissa) Rosenberger of Canonsburg, and Laura (Paul) Gillum of Canonsburg; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Hergenroeder, Charlotte Hessom, and Russell Rosenberger. Paul was the last of his immediate family.
Friends are welcome from 2-8 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Interment, with military honors accorded by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard, will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Everyone please meet at the cemetery.
