Paul Calabro

August 28, 1925 — November 29, 2008

Paul Calabro, age 83 of Canonsburg, died at 10pm Saturday, November 29, 2008 in his home following a brief illness.
Mr. Calabro was born August 28, 1925 in Muse a son of Dominick and Frances Zampaglione Calabro. He lived his entire life in the Muse and Canonsburg areas where he was a Member of Holy Rosary R.C. church and the Independent Club both of Muse. He was a graduate of Cecil High School , had attended welding school and served with the United States Army Air Corp. Mr. Calabro had worked at the H.C. Frick Coke Co in Muse and prior to his retirement owned Calabro Brothers Tire and Recap for many years. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Golf Club of Washington (Washington Country Club) since 1969.

On February 14, 1953 he married Alice Krezanosky who survives. Also surviving are two daughters; Pamela (Anthony) Santoro of Alpharetta Georgia and Polly (Terry) Nicola of Cranberry Twp., three brothers; Carmen (Joan) Calabro of Washington, Frank (Janet) Calabro of Canonsburg and Anthony (Myrna) Calabro of Houston; a sister, Fortunata (Joseph) Compeggie of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Angela and Gregory Santoro, and Monica and Audrey Nicola, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Muse followed by interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp on Tuesday, December 2, 2008.
