Patricia Mae Delfine

Patricia Mae Delfine age 86 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully, Tuesday January 17, 2023, in Canonsburg Hospital following an extended illness. She was born August 7, 1936, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late John and Julia Sedlitsky Sopiak.  Pat was a lifelong member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg helping in the kitchen for making nut rolls and pierogies and social functions. She had been a CCD teacher at church and enjoyed bingo. Patty was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and the Canonsburg Hospital School of Nursing. Prior to her retirement she had been employed for many years with the Canon-McMillan School District as a secretary in the Guidance Office. Patty served on the Canonsburg Library Board with pride. On July 6, 1957 she married William R. Delfine who passed away on January 31, 1999. Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved children, daughters Julia Elizabeth Krek of Canonsburg and Mary Louise Pascrelli (Fiancée Mark Kohlhepp) of Cecil and her four sons William S. Delfine (Marie) of Blythe California, Wesley R. Delfine of Canonsburg, Michael P. Delfine (Betsy) of Elkhart Indiana and Robert T. Delfine (Darnella) of Van Buren Twp. Michigan, her sister-in-law Betty Sopiak of Canonsburg,12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her brother John Sopiak and two sisters Anna Louise Clendaniel and Mary Jane Guidas.

Friends and family are welcome from 6-8 pm Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday in SALANDRA FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304West Pike Street Canonsburg 745-8120, where departing prayers will be recited at 9:30 am Monday January 23, 2023.Liturgy will be held at 10 am in St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church, followed by interment in St. Michaels Cemetery, Canonsburg.
