Patricia Marie Sobolewski of Strabane passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013.
She was born on August 11, 1938 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late John L. and Anne M. Pecharka Sobolewski.
Ms. Sobolewski was a graduate of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Academy and received both her Bachelor of Education Degree and Master of Education Degree from Duquesne University.
She taught in the Pittsburgh Diocese and in the Canon McMillan School District before her retirement in 1999.
Ms. Sobolewski was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, where she had taught in the CCD Program. She organized and led a Bible Study at home for many years.
Surviving are three sisters, Joanne (David) Bier, Judith (Dennis) Danko and Mary Margaret (Alfred) Falleroni; several nieces and nephews and two aunts; Sophie Kern and Nancy Sobolewski.
At Ms. Sobolewski's request there will be no public visitation. Friends are asked to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10:00 am in St. Patrick Church, please meet the family at 9:30 am at the church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg. Arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P.
