Norma J. DaPra age 96 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Thursday September 29, 2022, In TownView Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg. She was born January 14, 1926, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Domenic and Mary Molly Papetti. Norma lived her entire life in Canonsburg and was a member of St Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church. Mrs. DaPra was a homemaker who was very family oriented and much enjoyed decorating her home for Christmas. She liked shopping and was very fashionable. Norma loved hearing Karen Carpenter perform and her dog Jagger. Over the years Norma had been employed in the cafeteria at St. Patrick School, with S & S Shoe Store and in sales at the former Marlene’s Dress Shop, being very proud of the fact that she fitted Dolly Vinton for her wedding gown. Her husband Valentino J. “Tino” DaPra passed away May 10, 2022, after 74 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her two beloved sons, Vic J. DaPra and Val J. DaPra and his wife Vera all of Canonsburg, two sisters Violet Gessler of Bridgeville and Donna Richards of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is her brother Leonard “Zeke” Papetti and her sister Katie Gessler.
Friends and family are welcome from 3pm until 6 pm on Sunday October 2, 2022, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc.
