Norma knestrick age 85 of Meadowlands formerly of Muse passed away peacefully at 10:15 pm Sunday July 6, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Meadowlands where she had resided for the past six years. She was born February 18, 1929 in Avella a daughter of the late John and Emilia Maragna Carosone. Mrs. Knestrick lived most of her life in Muse where she was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church and the Muse Independent Club. A Homemaker, she had been employed at Technology, Incorporated of Bentleyville, in her younger years.
On March 24, 1962 she married Howard Martin (Bunny) Knestrick Sr. who passed away May 29, 2008. Surviving are her daughter Barbara Fair (Steve Gostik) with whom she made her home and three sons Howard Martin Knestrick Jr. of Washington, Michael Anthony Knestrick of Vevay, Indiana and John Joseph Knestrick (Maggie Rhoads) of Muse, seven grandchildren; Jeffrey Henderson, Nicole, Ashley and Lacey Knestrick, Kirk Baxendell and Shawn and Matthew Randolph, four great grandchildren Steven and Devon Knestrick, and Charlee Rayne and Levi Almeida, four step grandchildren; Richard and David Klawuhn and September and Jonathan Vitka and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a sister Linda Havel, and three brothers Rudy, Ben and Deli Carosone.
Friends are welcome from 4 until 8pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where a Catholic Blessing service will be held at 9:30 am on Thursday July 10, 2014 with the reverend George T. DeVille officiating. Interment will follow at in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
