Nicole Leann Chauvet age 19 of Canonsburg died unexpectedly Sunday November 1, 2009 in Altoona Regional Hospital Blair County. She was born April 26, 1990 in St. Clair Hospital a daughter of Michael A. and Lisa A. Kobrys Chauvet of Canonsburg.
Miss Chauvet lived in the Canonsburg, Cecil twp. area her entire life and was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. A 2008 graduate of Canon McMillan High School, she was a cheerleader for four years. She had been a Little Mac Cheerleader and a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, volunteered at the Washington County Health Center and was a part time employee at T.J. Max in Peters Twp. Nicole had been attending Penn State University, Altoona where she was a member of the Cheerleading Squad. Surviving in addition to her parents are a brother, Ryan M. Chauvet of Penn State University's Main Campus, her maternal grand mother Rose Marie Kobrys of Canonsburg, her Paternal grandparents, Marcel and Shirley McGinnis Chauvet of McDonald and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends are welcome from 2-8 pm Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg. (724-745-8120) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday November 6, 2009 in St Mary's Church, Cecil with the Reverend Stan Gregorek, Pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
